Piper softball has had a good record throughout their season so far.
Tyauna ollie has started her junior season off with a positive attitude on the field and she shares why her favorite position is pitching.
“My favorite position is pitching,” said Ollie. “It is less stressful than 2nd, and I have many chances to make up for mistakes.”
Junior Keira Garman is new to the Piper softball team.
“I like it,” said Garman. “I have made so many new friendships and I can’t wait to play with these girls for the next two years.”
This season has been a great experience for players.
“BVNW because it was turf and my changeup was dealing,” said Ollie. “I did very well the whole game and it was perfect weather for softball.”
Ollie believes that the best part about game days are the rides home.
“Going home after a long game, I feel relieved and I can finally take off my uniform,” said Ollie.
Throughout the season, the team has had the perfect mix of fun and success.
“I liked the games against DeSoto because we were winning and the team was just having a lot of fun in the dugout,” said junior Gabi Rogers. “We were just joking around and having fun.”
